Curriculum changes Schools affiliated to the New Delhi -based Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon introduce subjects focusing on adoloscence education and peace. The contents are being designed and will be integrated into the curriculum soon.
Let's know the recent news regarding speak of Chairman - CBSE Chairman, Ashok Ganguly, said, “Emphasis is being laid on integrating peace and value education as well as adoloscence education programmes into the curriculum from six grade upwards to expose students at an early age to various social, cultural and religious issues facing the world.”

"Among the new subjects whose contents are being prepared include art appreciation, heritage crafts, creative Writing, Visual arts and Graphic design, Human rights and gender studies, and film and media studies. "
Highlighting other key changes in the CBSE curriculum design, he said CBSE is trying to make its curriculum, technology-compatible by including multi-media delivery mode.
The core idea was that all students should get equal opportunity for studies and for co-curricular activities which are locally suitable to the context of their respective domicile. Vineet Joshi, IAS (Indian Administrative Services), Chairman and Secretary, CBSE, told the Observer that the conference was to implement timely changes in the education systems in the Indian schools which ails to make the student a complete person rather than a mere student. "Aims and objectives of the council are deep rooted. When a child comes out of the school system, he/she should be a holistic child. He should have a complete personality and not a uni-dimensional personality".
Established in October 2009, the Council of CBSE Schools has been receiving accolades from different parts of the world for its reformative approach. Along with Vineet Joshi, Dr Sadhana Savasheer, Education Officer-Examinations, CBSE, and Neelam Upadhyay, Secretary, Council of CBSE affiliated schools in the gulf and principal, Indian School, Al Ain are in the emissary. Importance Speaking about importance of languages offered in the curriculum, he explained that CBSE has the widest choice of languages on offer to its students. We have introduced 11 foreign languages and have plans to introduce Japanese from class seven from next academic year. In addition, Mandarin, Malay and other languages will also be introduced based on the growing demand for foreign languages .
Another important thrust area of the CBSE is internal evaluation at secondary level in social science and mathematic for grades 9 and 10 and restructuring of Science and Mathematic question papers by reducing theory component and increasing the practical component.
